my year (1969) is better than yours so there...man I hated that 'you light up my life' song!! But Star Wars was a pivotal part of my young life. I think saw it 12 times in the theater. However by Jedi puberty took over and other things (boys) seemed more important....
The neatest thing that happened in 1978 (besides my birth) was the Jim Jones Peoples Temple mass suicide! 914 kool-aid drinkers died.
Also, the first computer BBS was created, Garfield debuts in newspapers, Diff'rent Strokes and Mork and Mindy premiere.
