Tiffany & Co.

All right men.
Listen Up.

I don't care if your sweetie isn't really into jewery. I don't care if she prefers costume rubies to real rubies. I don't care if she goes crazy in the Target jewelry section, and never once looks into the case at the real stuff (guilty).

If you want to impress your lady, you will, for once in her lifetime - buy her something from Tiffany's.

That little turquoise box, that little white bow. You will live in her heart forever - and you will be AMAZED at the reprocussions of such a gift.

Did you know that you can get items as low as $50 at Tiffany's? Did you know you can get them to engrave anything you want? Did you know that it's not just the item of purchase, but the fact that it was BOUGHT at Tiffany's that will throw any woman into arms, as well as your lap?

Think about it, ladies. To open up that little turquoise box, and see the little silver (or gold - if you're into that kind of thing) present with your initials on them. Did you even want something like that? You didn't before, but now that it's been given - you realize you've always wanted it!!! and what does that say about your beau? He's thoughtful, loving, and sensitive that giving you the same thing from Wal-Mart and saving a some money (for an XBox) isn't the SAME THING. A pendant, a key chain, a necklace, a pair of simple hoops.

aaahhhh......

You don't have to go bankrupt to buy perfection.

and trust me guys, you buy her something like that, and she'll let you go out with the guys for longer than 11pm. Heck, she might even tell you stay in for 'special time' and THEN you'll be thanking me!!!

Personally, i prefer the simple link bracelet. You can get a myriad of pendants (different shapes) that can either say Tiffany & Co. or your initials. I am much more of a costume jewelry lady, but the man who gives me something from Tiffany's will be the man who maybe has my heart!!!

Haha!! just kidding!!! I just really like that bracelet. I like a toggle clasp, but the regular one is cheaper. What do you think? Maybe I could try and get a job there, so i can have the employee discount for a day or something.....

Otherwise, Target has a lot of great jewelry that is reasonably priced. I get most of my stuff from there for under $10. If you shop at Target, check out their selection! They also have a nice assortment of men's watches.

Okay. My advertisement is over. I was just thinking about a buying a new watch at lunch.

uh,
au contraire, mon frere.
I couldn't care less where my jewelry is bought, in fact what impresses me is a guy who would personally design something for me, and then take it to a local artisan (vulcan's forge) and have it made to specs. That would impress me and even lead me to rub their back, or feet and maybe get them a beer. Heck, I might even marry one who did that for me. hint, hint (tom said he's been reading your blog)

i agree with you, mi novia. i would be even MORE impressed if someone did that for me!!! And you're right!! that might even persuade me to getting them a beer!!!

I just didn't think that boys thought THAT much about it....
i don't know any male jewelry designers - only hot babes that work in a forge! haha!!! neked!!!

okay. but cereally. While i adore that turquoise box, if i had a boyfriend who DESIGNED good jewelry, i wouldn't need Tiff. Not that Josh wouldn't be great at it, but let's look at Cassie's past dudes. They were more likely to design a skull ring with a mood snake coming out of it's mouth than a link bracelet, or beautiful ring.

Actually, i've always thought that if i got married, it would be a one of a kind design either from my partner, or a friend.

Do you have a design in mind, Amber (.....or Tom?)

But of course!
Actually I'll probably design it myself, we're not actually getting rings, in the traditional sense. We're getting tattoos. But someday I hope Tom does get me a ring, that I design.

The girl-stuff is so thick here I couldn't cut it with a knife...

And why does a guy need to buy you jewelery? Isn't it enough if a guy cares about you and is there for you? Jeez...

AMEN Kurt! Listen to these women jabber about who's the bigger materialist. They're talking about marrying guys who spend $50 at a swanky jewelry store.

I buy jewelry all the time because I know women like it. I buy it because I want the woman to know that I care enough about her to spend my hard earned money on ornaments for them to wear. I don't buy it to gain favor or to get something that I normally wouldn't get.

I do like the idea that you can design your own piece of jewelry and have somebody make it for you. I think that would actually MEAN something.

Was that a crack at me, Aaron? FYI, I won't put "Jeez..." at the end of a post I'm wholely serious about. And if I feel like giving somebody a little shit (all in good fun of course), I'm going to do it. If that's alright with you, of course.

Dudes! Stop fighting, no more sucker punches. The only suckers here are the ones who think that buying a little piece of metal is going to get them some dim sum.

Geez relax you guys. If you really know Cassie, you know she likes to write things in her blog to generate conversation.

You can say whatever you want, a nice gift usually gets you the dim sum whether that was the reason you bought or not.

Blackpetunia said...

silly,
nice gifts do not = dim sum, or anything else.
in fact:
many times nice gifts are payment for something prior to the purchase, if you want to look at it that way.
Gifts, as compensation for anything are totally ludicrous. say what you will, but if you gift me, that is totally cool(as long as it's in good taste, i have thrown away horrible gifts) but don't expect anything from me
I guess in his own tennis-guy kind of way that is what a-ron was saying. Gifts should bring the giver as much pleasure as the receiver.
nuff said, but wait i'm not finished. I think that anyone wanting something, should fucking buy it for themselves and not expect someone else to present it to them, in full obeisance, unless it's locomocos, and then, that's what they call idolatry; in Rome.
oh, how we come full circle.
When in Rome....
buy Tiffany?!

actaully i just bought a bracelet that looks just like that at Target for $10.99 after work last night.
i gifted myself - which made me feel great. i then decided to pour myself a drink and give myself a massage (with my new shower head). I say buying that bracelet was the best thing i ever gave myself.

aaahhhhh......

Denny! i'm so glad you're posting!!!
