hello. my name is Cassie......and I'm a D-aholic!!!

Friends -

It's true.
I, yes I am obsessed with Tenacious D.
i watch the collected masterpeices over and over when i'm home alone. i know all the songs (including the ones not on the CD!), and all the espisodes by heart. I am ...... like Lee.
But they haven't written a song about me yet.

http://www.tenaciousd.com/

now. As we analyze this site, please take note of the photographer, Joe B***.
Friends, this man is actually in the Complete Masterworks DVD which i own. You know what's even more scary? is that when i was going to school at CSU, my roommate and i used to go to this bar with dollar wells for the ladies on Thursdays. So we were haning out and this really wierd 80's dude starts hitting on her and buying us drinks (she was a blonde bostonian with sorority girl looks and the mouth and attitude of a swarthy sailor! she is AWESOME!!!) anyways - sorry.
So this long haired guy wearing a bad multi colored button up silk shirt from 1992 is all into my roomie (who has a boyfriend) and since i'm with her, I'm drinking for free! (of course it's only a dollar....but it's the principle!!!). Well, this guy has a buddy he's out with who is this big blond guy with a viking hat on. As we start talking, we are both completely uninterrested, but the more we chat he starts laughing all over the place! he repeatedly was saying things like, 'WOW!!! i didn't know you were so cool!!!'. Which at the time i was thinking - 'No shit asshole! i'm not some college bimbo you can score with tonight!'

To make a long story short, he actually turned out to be a nice guy and i ended up wearing the viking hat with HORNS all evening and probably drinking $20 worth of drinks!

He was touring as a roadie with 3-11 (which when the two guys told me and my roomie that when they first came over, we pretended like we only listened to country music and had never heard of them) and was only in town for the next couple of evenings. Right?

So here's where the psycho part comes in (you didn't think there wasn't going to be one - did you?)
My roomie gave him our digits - don't ask me why - so the dude was calling me for like 3 weeks, 5 times a day (i'm NOT exaggerating) leaving messages, email addresses, statements of devotion, etc. He was saying things like he wanted me to come visit him at his house in Seattle, and blah blah blah......
well, you know how that ended.
Remember that scene in Swingers when he's calling that girl's answering machine repeatedly? You know when she finally answers? It was like that.

"Joe? Never call me again."

So when i saw him on my D dvd, i about peed my pants! i kept rewinding it, and laughing. i ended up emailing my old roomie in Boston and she quickly rehashed the whole evening (she LOVED the viking hat) and the phone dodging sessions. CLASSIC. To think - that if i had stayed friends with that psycho, i might actually be six degrees of separation from JACK BLACK!!!

Ahhhh......what a dream boat!!!

Where was i?

Oh yeah. I'm obsessed with Tenacious D.

here's another website, incase you're obsessed too. it's really good and has alot of pics from the HBO series!!!!

BRUCE CAMPBELL, BABY!!!!

Unfortunatley when trying to zoom in on him, the phote becomes really pixilated. Those disposable cameras just don't do him justice. Boo.

But there he is, in all his splendor.

Apparently, this programmer hates his job

While frustratedly sitting in front of my non-cable tv, i grew weary of watching the crappy reruns of a below mentioned show for an hour straight.

i decided to do something about it. i thought the television channel would be appreciative of my suggestions and so i wrote an email:

Dear UPN 20-
While i greatly enjoy all of your programming, i would like to make a suggestion.
I really started getting into Star Trek Voyager right when you were taking it off the air a few years ago. Are you going to be replaying this series anytime soon? I would really like to see this program back on. i think it would fit nicely in the HOUR that Home Improvement airs. i really think everyone is Home Improvemented out - especially since there aren't too many families that sit down to watch it at 10:30-11:30 at night. Please Please Please put Star Trek back on so i can see all the shows i've missed!!!
Home Improvement vs. Star Trek Voyager (what i saw of it)
Tim builds a crappy go-cart out of washing machine - which he blows up in the basement
vs.
Sexy Tom Paris builds the Delta Flyer - A SPACE SHIP THAT SAVES THEIR LIVES!!!!

The weird neighbor Wilson always has something "clever" to say - but he's too imbarrased to show his face to anyone
vs.
That weird ALIEN cook Neelix ALWAYS says clever things, and isn't afraid to share them with the entire Delta Quadrant
Episode plots:
Jill wants to become a psychologist and explores the difficulty of being taken seriously by her family
vs.
a holographic doctor wants to become REAL and deals with the PAIN in realizing he will never be a human being!

Heartthrobs=
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
vs.
Seven of Nine
Need i say more?

Thank you for your ear, and your time! :)
Sincerely,
Cassie D********

I eagerly awaited a response that paralleled my humourous yet informative suggestions, and this is what i got back:

Voyager is no longer available in broadcast syndication. It has been sold to cable to my knowledge and is exclusive to cable at this time. We owned this contract through 9/04 and had exhausted all available runs months before our contract expired. As you recall we stripped it on a M-F basis for well over 5 years and had to end it runs early than we would have liked due to contractual obligations.

We will certainly take a look at this show, if and when it is ever offered in broadcast syndication. At this point, your suggestion is simply not possible.

On another note, Home Improvement is one of our highest rated programs in late night.

Thanks

Clearly, he did not forward my crazy antics onto his co-workers and laughing about it at the coffee machine - like i thought.
I thought that instead of just asking a simple question like - are you going to play this show again - i would make is humorous and light hearted. i wanted the individual to smile while reading my suggestion, forward it on as a joke, and quite possibly ponder the idea i so effectively debated. I thought, while chances were slim, i would at least get a witty and appreciative response.
It looks like the guy answering the programming email just churns them out. No personality and no flare (definatley not 15 peices....) involved!!!

I say BOO to UPN channel 20's email guy!!!! BOO on your SOUL!!!!

p.s.
Home Improvement SUCKS MY AZZ!!!!!!!!

i don't know why, but i have been thinking about this scene from French Kiss for 2 WEEKS!!!

Kate: So, who is this guy?
Luc: Bob.
Kate: Bub?
Luc: No, no, Bob. You know, like, uh, Bob Dylan?
Kate: Oh, Bob!
Luc: Oui, Bahb

Sushi makes my tummy smile....

I just got back from lunch!
Oh how delectable sushi for lunch really is!

I had a spider roll, a shredder roll, and some unagi. Yum Yum Yum.

So my questions for you:
Why doesn't everyone love sushi?

Here are the top ten WORST reasons i've heard that people don't like sushi:

10. they make it with their hands

Whatev. You use the 7-11 bathroom, and think that a 5 second wash in the sink is gonna clean those germs up?

9. i don't like fish/i'm a vegatarian.

C'mon. There are meatless and fishless sushi and rolls out there. AND THEY RAWK!

8. i can't use chop sticks

What? How old are you? Pick it up with your fingers, dork!!

7. sushi doesn't fill me up, and i want a REAL meal!!!

Ummm....did you SEE how tight my pants have gotten over the years? I attest that to sushi.
......(okay, and beer).
Actually, sushi is a really healthy alternative food. You wonder why all japanese people are as thin as bamboo!! haha!!!

6. sushi is too expensive.

Well, yes - everyday. But there are a lot of places out there that have sushi happy hours that have $1 rolls!! Sign me UP!!!!

10. i only eat american

you suck and are boring and i'm glad i don't hang out with you on a regular basis.

4. Sushi is for yuppies.

die yuppie scum? i mean, isn't it about time we found out what all the hub bub was about in the 80's? i mean, we sure dress better, and listen to better music. but seriously - if i eat sushi i'm a yuppie? Because it tastes GOOD? so if you go to Krispy Kreme, are you considered a yuppie, also? NO!! Just a FAT AMERICAN!!!

3. wasabi and ginger? WTF is that? why would i put that green stuff on my food voluntarily?

Grow up, guacamole lovers! So it's okay if it comes from Mexico and you can put it on your fast food hamburger? You can put wasabi on there too. and it has a helluva lot more kick than anything they have south of the border.....

2. I don't like sea weed.

Boo. don't eat it.

1. Ewww!!! Gross!!! Raw Fish!!! I just couldn't eat it!

the #1 reason.
Give me a break. not everything at your local sushi bar is raw. it's okay to eat a properly cooked raw steak? HELLO? You can get cooked sushi, or eat the rolls which have small pieces of fish in them - so you don't even notice. Or order the unagi (eel - and i don't want to hear ANYTHING on that one from you calamari lovers) which is cooked and is more tender than a portabello mushroom.

Bottom line. Try it with a true sushi lover. they will guide you to a wonderful experience that i GUARANTEE will leave you swimming in "sushi bliss". And if you don't like it, don't deny your friends the opportunity to go eat it. ALL sushi bars have teryaki chicken, shrimp, tempura and beef dishes, just like your local CHINESE FOOD $1 A SCOOP restaurants, but better.

Speaking of fun sushi stuff, check out these cute USB files:

You're a Spirograph!! You're pretty tripped out,

boring at times. You manage to serve your

effort (and are probably stoned to the gills
all the while).

Dirty Futurama Nerds!

Goodness Gracious! So there are some dirty Futurama Nerds out there! They like to create fan art that is a little....shall we say....racy?
Here are just a couple of the less offensive.....

and this one? HellO???? It doesn't even LOOK like Leela!!! The nose is ALL wrong!!!

Well, at least i haven't found CRAZY fan art, like i did when i tried to find a good Lord of the Rings pic for my screen saver! There are TONS of these pics out there, but trust me - MORE REVEALING. Yikes!

I'm not putting up any links for that stuff. if you want to find it, trust me, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE not to find when you type in a search.

Hello my name is Simon.....

Did you ever see that show on Captain Kangaroo? No, it wasn't with Mike Myers in a giant bathtub with assorted guest stars, but actually a little cartoon?

This kid would get all huffy and escape to his imaginary chalk world. It was pretty cool, and this picture A-Ron made for me looks a little bit like that. It's of me and Josh, and as you can see, we look AWESOME.

I especially like how one of my star tattoos looks really cool!

Well, good work, my friend. plus that glassful of non alcoholic beverage and the "candy" ashtray look cool at that angle.

Ode to Patrick Stewart

I came across this as i was trying to find something on Patrick Stewart on SNL when he ran that erotic bakery! But his opening monologue when he hosted Saturday Night Live was pretty funny:

I have no illusions why I'm here tonight.
It's because of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
(applause)
Well, thank you very much, but I have a confession to make. When I was first given the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, I pretended to take it all in my stride; I was so cool in interviews;
I claimed never to have seen the original classic Trek. But, it was all an act, because inside, I was so ecstatic... I was delirious... You see, not only am i probably the biggest Star Trek fan of all time, but well, as my friends can tell you, I am virtually an encyclopedia of Star Trek facts and trivia.

Well now, for example, listen: Here's a fact I bet you don't know. On the original show, the name of the space ship was not the "Star Trek"! No, no, it was in fact, the "Enterprise". Now that's true.

Now, all right, here's another one: Everyone knows that the part of Captain James M. Kirk was played by William Shiner. Then of course later he was to become very famous as the Six Million Dollar Man. But how many of you here know which actor played the chief medical officer, Dr. McCray, who was of course otherwise known as Boney? You give up, don't you? Well that was Forest D. Kelley.

Well perhaps you knew that one, but can you name to me the ship's other medical officer... you see, because of course, there were two. You see, you're stumped. You are forgetting Dr. Spock. Now you remember, right? He was the pointy eared creature, you know? Half human, half volcano, and he was forever tormenting old Boney with his cold volcano logic, and uh...

All right.. here's another bit of trivia. Did you know that another Star Trek character, Captain Sulu, was the first black woman ever on television? Anyway, being the Star Trek trivia maniac that I am, well you can imagine my feelings when I first learned that I won the role of Captain Picard. I felt a kinship, you know, with all those unforgettable legendary chartacters... Kirk, Boney, and especially Spock, and I even know... well I wrote a note to Leonard Fortnoy, but I guess he never received it. Anyway, Leonard, if you're watching, this is for you.

Outer space: the last frontier. These are the trips of the Star Trek Enterprise. Its five year plan calls for us to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly fly where no man has gone in space.

Live long (boy scout sign), and be happy.

Thems some sort a SMART zombies.....My first MOVIE REVIEW

So i just saw Land of the Dead -
FINALLY!!

Key Points:
It was pretty typical zombie stuff. I of course, LOVE it when they show zombies attacking someone, and digging into their stomachs and eating the intestines....and then ripping the body in half (as if the intesting eating isn't enough)! I cringed when i saw some zombie trying to climb up the wall of the truck/tank thing and the fingernails broke off at the cuticle....that always gets me grossed out! (-yeah, i don't mind eating intestines, just no fingernail bits...). there was also a good part where this one zombie stuck his arm down this dead guy's throat to pull out the tounge...GROSS!!!!

What I Liked:
i did find it an interresting twist that THIS time, the zombies were organized. They learned how to communicate, use tools (to break into things), guns, and crossed a river!!! (on foot of course - there was a cool scene of them walking out of the river into the city). There is of course a cheesy line at the end of this relating to this development, but i won't ruin it for you!

Closing Thoughts:
Why was both Dennis Hopper and John Leguizamo in this film? Two BRILLIANT actors in a movie where the plot was not the most *critical* piece! But alas, if i were a big hollywood star, and i had a chance to be in a George Romero zombie film, i guess i would jump at the chance, and pay some bills while i was at it!!!

Rating:
(out of 5 *****)
i give it a 3 ***** - because i love zombie films.

I think it ended too soon, which is why it didn't get a 4.

Speaking of Zombies, if you haven't checked out Shaun of the Dead, you are missing OUT!!!!

Guess who saw Bruce Campbell?

ME ME ME!!!

i am impatiently awaiting my photos to get developed, and hopefully they will turn out okay. i took them with an instant camera. So i went to his booksigning last night!!!

It was awesome! He was wearing a hawaiian shirt, and glasses! Oh! what a hottie! i got an autographed book of his new hit "Make Love, The Bruce Campbell Way". i was so pissed i forgot my copy of my PS2 game, "A Fistful of Boomstick" for him to sign. i also didn't get to see his preview for "The Man with the Screaming Brain". i couldn't stay out late on a school night.

Please check out my link "I heart Bruce" for more info on when Bruce will be in a town near you. He will be in KC on August 26th and St. Louis on the 25th for anyone who's interrested.

check out his other book, which kurt so sweetly had signed for me when it came out. he's a hilarious writer!

So please be patient while i get my photo developed and put onto a CD so i can upload them onto my blog! i'm so excited!

Graphic Artist - more like Graphic GENIUS!

So with my new found graphic art skills, i have chosen to share with you a selection of my abilities:

Here is apparently Paul's boyfriend, though i added that the only thing this hawttie had in common with him was his flatulence.

This is a picture of a guy i was set up on a blind date with. It didn't work out.

And this is a picture I sent to Kurt for his 29th Birthday.
i think it turned out quite nice.

Yes. i think i finally have the Skillz to pay the Billz!

Toni, aka Cassie?

Tony Iommi....
You are very calm and dark but you can be quite
witty and amusing.

I'm not sure if i agree with this or not.....

Ode to Paul

So my bestest friend, Paul is gone. He has quit his job to volunteer in Ecuador to build huts and trails for the less fortunate natives.

Can you believe how selfish he is? To go off and leave me here in Denver alone? With no one to borrow movies from, eat their food and pressure them into letting me borrow their car?

Boo, you whore!!

Just selfish.

So here is a picture of my friend Paul:

And for his going away present, i made him a picture of what he would look like as a drag queen:

Look out, Josh. There's a new graphic artist in town.

Do you think he'll like it?

i heart pancakes

blogger rawks!

i am so pumped about blogger! they have added an automatic spell check for your blogs, and NOW it's super easy to post picture! i'm so excited! i'm a picture posting FOOL!!!!

i heart beck

I heart Beck. I just do. i'm sure everyone agrees with me that he is completely awesome. His new album is growing on me at an alarming rate. Too bad the CD got stolen when Josh took in his laptop for service, and it was returned WITHOUT my Beck CD. Jerks. Why didn't they just copy it if they wanted it so bad?

I think Sea Changes was one of the best albums ever. it's right up there with the Joshua Tree. of course, i have about 20 favorite albums, but i think Sea Changes is in my top 5.

How i judge my favorite albums is the amount of time they spent in my tape deck. The best ones had been in there for at LEAST six months straight.

Bestest Albums:
5. Bloodletting - Concrete Blonde
4. The Joshua Tree - U2
3. The Final Battle - Graham Smith
2. Sea Changes - Beck
1. Garden State - The motion picture soundtrack

Now these aren't necessarily in order. And actually, they could change at any time. I almost added The Postal Service, but i lost my cd after owning it for only 2 months. it was in there the whole time, but i never replaced it. So these few made the cut.

Report: Skeptical Lunch Choice is Confirmed After 2-3 Minutes or Until Hot

While filling up my car a full 15 gallons of $2.20 gas, i decided i didn't have time to stop anywhere to purchase lunch. i excitedly went into the 7-E to look at their microwavable lunch section. i thought a nice noodle bowl would do the trick, until i cautiously picked up a lunch sized cheesy Lasagna in a microwavable tray.

i contemplated the choice of lasagna between roasted garlic asian noodles, until finally i felt confident that a nice piece of lasagna was well due on my menu. i purchased the small meal for $2.99.

I was skeptical, but as i walked to my car i looked down at the friendly, reassuring smile of our friend, Chef Boyardee. He was confident i would enjoy his convenient lasagna that needed no refrigeration. Hell! He's been a chef for friggin' 50 years, right? So who am i to question his italian specialty?

I anticipated my lasagna. i hurriedly went to the break room to peal off half of the plastic film and pop it into the microwave. i was so excited, i thought i could hardly wait the 2-3 minutes or until hot! Even AFTER that, is another 30 seconds to cool! Caution! Tray will be HOT!!! All of these directions are making me wait longer and longer for my beloved lasagna. As i pealed off the film, i thought the odor was slightly unpleasant. But i chalked it up to the fact that anything that is supposed to be microwaved, doesn't smell pleasant before the actual cooking. As i ignored the poignant odor, i closed the door and pressed the control pad as fast as i could. OH the agony of waiting - watching the small microwavable tray turn around circle after circle.

Finally, count down of the last minute began, and i quickly prepared my plate, fork, napkin - do i need a knife? I doubt it, but i should take one just in case. Why was i debating this? Did i have time to think about the use of a knife on lasagna? WHEN WILL IT BE DONE????

Ding.

I immediately opened the door and loaded the Caution will be HOT plastic tray on my plate, and walked hastily to my desk.

Okay. It's been 30 seconds. It has to have cooled down on the way back to my desk - right?

Oops! My boss just beeped me on my subaru nextel. Can't take a bite just yet.

Carlos! Quit talking to me about your stupid tattoo!!!

Ahh....finally. Peace and quiet to enjoy the first bite of my Chef Boyardee cheesy Lasagna!

Hmmm...

hhmmmuuuuhhh???

Whaaa....??

Gaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

i should've gotten the roasted garlic asian noodle bowl.
The Chef let us down on this one, my friends.
Don't trust those beady little eyes and that scarf he wears around his neck!
Bad Bad Bad.
Tastes like spaghetti-O's - but worse. it's got some "ricotta" type cheese that is chalky and unpleasant.

Boo.
Two thumbs down. i had to go buy a Grandma's Peanutbutter cookie just to eradicate the taste from my mouth.
At least Grandma has never let me down!

Report: Memorial Day turns people into Self-Absorbed FREAKS!!

Wow.

All i can say is WOW.

What a fucked up weekend.

Now i know that Memorial Day is sort of the "Kick Off of Summer" but give me a break! Does that mean that everyone and their back woods mother has to be out galavanting in the FRONT of the line?

When i say "Self-Absorbed" what i mean is i couldn't even COUNT with my fingers and toes how many times i thought out loud for people, "I'm the center of the universe!" i guess having a 3-day weekend will do it to you! So people were driving like shit, pushing and shoving in retail centers, and i don't even want to TELL you what it was like trying to get something to eat. BOO!!!!

I went up to the mountains with my parents. So were are driving through Rocky Mountain National Park, and there are signs and an AM radio station that consistently say, "Stay on the designated paths - do not walk on Arctic Tundra".
So what does that mean to you?
Well, i would personally interperate that as "Don't walk around off the friggin' path, dorks!" because apparently it takes this "arctic tundra" 30-50 years to regrow from one footprint.

So what do i see as i get out to take breathtakingly beautiful photos of God's beautiful creation? Some punk ass kids running all OVER the arctic mountainside chasing after a friggin' marmant!!!! WTF????????
And their parents were just as bad, walking OFF the stabilized crushed granite (and very EXPENSIVE) path created specifically so you wouldn't DEVIATE from it, taking pictures and climbing on rocks themselves - crushing 50 years in the making - wild flowers!!! THEY WERE EVEN PICKING THEM!!! These things are no more than an inch tall! LET THEM ALONE!!!!! All they were saying to their kids: "Hey guys. that's enough. don't chase the marmant all over." in the most monotonous voice you can possibly imagine!!!
Well SHAME upon you and your house! And i hope when giant aliens come down to earth they step on YOUR 50 year old carcass! Fuckers!!!

At least no one brought up their double wide yuppie "i don't ever want to have to touch my baby" stroller. i HATE those things! if ever there were a more inconsiderate baby contraption, this is it. Like no one else in the world needs to walk on the friggin' sidewalk, or down a store isle. Warning: If someone has this stroller with the giant wheels made especially to go offroad easier, they will, i repeat, they will NOT get off the sidewalk. YOU need to move!!

http://www.joggingstroller.com/brand/mountainbuggy/urban-double.shtml

Careful. if you browse that website, you might also see the "Mountain Buggy Terrain Triplets" and the one where you can even attach a fuckin' CRADLE onto the buggy!!!

Well, not saying much for the place, but i was walking in Boulder this weekend with a couple people who just ran the Bolder Boulder (http://www.bolderboulder.com/) and this dude pushing a double mountain buggy thing wouldn't roll onto the grass. Wow. i just saw Star Wars III and DAMN!!! Hayden Christensen is a hawttie!!!!

i mean, even as Darth Vadar he is a DAMN Hawttie!!!

Whew!

Go see this movie, if not for an oldie but a goodie hawttie, Ewan McGregor, but the new developments made by George Lucas when he decided that Hayden Christensen needed to work out at the gym more often.
Good call, George!

My thumb really hurts!

So i took a stupid pill last night and thought it would be a good idea to go to the Lion's Lair with some rollergirls - seeing as how well drinks were $1! Bad Bad Bad idea. i have been off the wagon (or is it on the wagon - Seinfeld confused me http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-112/epid-2269/) for a while, and after last night i realize i can't swim with the big fishes anymore. i got completely trashed after 4 drinks.

4 DRINKS, PEOPLE!!!!!

Apparently i did a dance to ABBA (on a small wooden box they called a "stage") and got a free shot, which somehow resembled an entire cocktail.

Wi-Hoo!

Needless to say, i was getting dropped off by Jayne Manslaughter when lo and behold! I slammed my thumb in her 1988 Volvo door! I didn't even realize it until i tried to walk away, and i couldn't. i re-opened the door, said ouch, and walked into my building with a bleeding thumb.

Ahh...
You can't have a good night of drinking without a little blood present, ya know?

28 people. i'm going to be 28 this year.
Fantastic.

i heart Johnny Depp

You Are Gilbert From "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"

You are very giving and self-sacrificing. You're always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. However, this generous nature often robs you of fulfilling your needs and desires, and may cause you to become resentful. Find a way to balance your kindness with your independence.

Take The Johnny Depp Quiz!

Oh ye of little faith.....

For all of you non-believers out there, i have already been receiving thank you emails from my new flock. I know you might still be skeptical, but read some testimonials!

Thank You Thank You Thank You Reverend Mother!

I felt your spirit with me today!

I knew that you had blessed my bat because when i gripped it i felt comfort, and it was good. when i swang it i felt confidence, and i knew it was good. when i hit the ball i felt powerful, and all knew it was good.

with your blessing, reverend mother, i was able to acheive 3 home runs and 1 triple today. with your spirit guiding my hand i was able to drive in 9 runs. i felt your pat on the back when the team voted me MVP of the game. i knew you were with me, and i knew it was good.

i shall build a shrine to your holy spirit. i shall erect a fine pedastal on top of which i shall place a statue of a woman with big boobs. i will always keep a candle lit in vigil. i trust that my efforts will appease your holy spirit and you shall then lay your blessing on me.

Thank you Reverend Mother. i am truly grateful.

Laughed My Ass OFF!!!

I know everyone's heard this, but just in case there are any stragglers out there:

http://home.swbell.net/kf5tv/voicemail.mp3

This guy's laugh is infectious!

Little Debbie, Little Debbie!

Here is a story my dad told me! I think it's so funny!!!

I just went up to the corner to the deli to get a sandwich. I was the only one at the counter. While the young Steven Wright-looking guy with the funny hat and apron was making my sandwich, I picked up a Little Debbie and commented, "Well, I guess all things must change. It's just a sign of the times, Little Debbies finally went up to 50 cents! I never thought I'd see the day." Without even looking up the guy said, "It's because of the price of gas." He then handed me my sandwich and just smiled.

Bikey the Hobbit = Critical Lee

i do not normally rant about personal issues in this blog. But there is an exception for everything. i will give no REAL particulars, and change names, but you who know me, probably know everyone involved. OOOOOOOoooooo!!! i'm so pissed!!!!!

So Critical Lee called me this morning (I’ve changed his name to reflect his constant state of “CRITICAL LIMITS”). Apparently the last time he and I rented movies together – about a month and a half ago – one of them didn’t get turned in. He went to rent movies yesterday, and they told him he couldn’t rent until he returned the movie (Napoleon Dynamite of all films! – which he HATED) and paid $30. So needless to say, the situation went “critical”. Lee’s convinced that The Samurai is fucking with him, because he saw me and Lee in there 1 FUCKING TIME. The Samurai and I dated for 1 month maybe, and it was in DECEMBER. That kid probably has women out the WA-ZOO! Like he even KNOWS who Critical Lee IS (which is just some dude who rents at the video store!!!)! So I told him he was overreacting, and to just go talk with the manager and ask him to look for the movie on the shelf. I told him it probably didn’t get checked in, and I’m sure they could find it. He “thanked” me for the “advice” like a true asshole would, and I thought we were done.
Nope.
He calls me back to ask what The Samurai’s name is. I am hesitant to give it to him, but I figure he’ll find out anyway. He said not to worry, he would talk to the manager, and if the manager fucked around with it, he would explain the “situation”.
WTF???
“Situation?” I asked.
“Yeah. You know that I dated a girl The Samurai dated and the only connection between the lost movie and this situation is that The Samurai is fucking with me.”
Totally logical – eh?
What a fucking psycho!!! He even went so far to say that if The Samurai was still fucking with him, he’d take the $30 out of his ass.
Beat him up over $30?????? You can be sure that would really do some good, and you’d never be able to rent at the video store anymore……
Plus there’s like 3 big black dudes that work there with him. I’m not worried about The Samurai, I just wonder WTF is Critical Lee’s deal?
So I told him not to mention me at all if he wanted to continue in the ridiculous business, and he asked me if I wanted to pay the $30 (cause I wanted to rent the movie in the first place) and then said he didn’t appreciate the attitude I was giving him.
??????

I mean…
???????????
So I told him good luck and hung up.
The beauty part IS:
The Samurai didn’t check the movies out to us to begin with – so he had NO idea of what we rented, and they don’t pay attention to who checks movies in, because they just pick them up out of the drop off box!!! They have NO idea whose movies are whose! Ya know? It’s not like the scanner pops up and says “Critical Lee is returning this movie”. I mean, you just scan it in, and it doesn’t come up whose it is unless you enter the code into the system SEPERATELY. Ya know???? DUH!!!!! Again: Like The Samurai has nothing better to do with his time than FUCK with Critical Lee – some guy he’s never met before – nor cares about.

Next time he calls, I’m telling him to erase my number from his phone.

Reverend Mother Cassie D

Hello my children, my flock.

Yes it is I, Reverend Cassie. Does something trouble you, my child? Let us explore the mysteries of creation together. Think of me and my wisdom as - a guide.

I received this email yesterday:

> This notice hereby confirms that
>
> Cassie D********
> 12345 My Street Apt #123
>
> Denver
> CO
> 8000*> USA
>
> is an ordained member of the clergy of
> The Church of Spiritual Humanism
> Date of Ordination: April 26, 2005
> Ordained by R. A. Zorger, President
>
www.SpiritualHumanism.org

Of course i had to delete some important information in this email, but basically - i can marry people now. It was free, legal, and fast. Pretty cool, eh?

So i've decided to go into business for myself, doing dog and cat weddings, funerals, christenings, etc. I mean think about it. Think about all the weirdos out there that want their pets to get married, or stuffed by a taxedermist for life!!! What about EMBALMED! I don't think holding a commitment ceremony for these creatures is too bizarre.
I mean, people that live in those alternate realities often spend a good deal of money on the ridiculous - aka Reverend Cassie.

My mom thinks an old church choir robe should do the trick.
She also thinks i should advertise that i can do Star Trek weddings, since i have a uniform. I told her that might be too difficult. What if they wanted me to perform the ceremony in Klingon!!

Tarot - or Tah-row?

So i read some tarot cards last night. I bought this little mini deck from Barnes and Noble cause i was addictied to those little giftboxes for a while (i got "Build your own Snowglobe", "Build your own Water Feature", "Build your own Zen Garden", "The Executive Gong" - for my boss, and of course, TAH-ROW).
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?userid=8Y4wjeEBmp&cds2Pid=4545&gift=y&isbn=0880882492

i only opened it once, and threw it in a box so i could move it to my new apartment, a year later. Well. 4 months after the move, my friend Josh was over, and thought it would be a good idea to read them.

So Barnes and Noble's directions were really easy, and pretty ambiguous! Shit like:

"This could represent past situations, current issues, or the posiblities of a certain outcome". So basically some card could mean past, present, or future - right? So am i wrong when i look at that statement as:
"Interperate the cards however you friggin' want to!" Introspection? Or is it just so ambiguous that you can do nothing else except make shit up, that probably you haven't even thought of before?!!!!

i mean, it reminds me of those snooty people who believe in that crap and who say, Tah-row (emphasis on the second silible), instead of Tare-O! You know, the same people who say, Plah-zah, instead of Plaza. I feel like learning Tarot really well so i can hang out with those people, and they can pay me to read their cards, while speaking like that as well!
"Dah-ling!!! You look SIMPLY Chah-ming!!!"

Wah wah wah. Where do people learn to talk like that? You remember in the old movies when wealthy sociallites used to talk like that? Like Grace Kelly or that little girl who played opposite Shirley Temple in "The Little Princess"?
She said, "Oh Sarah! Aw you actually hon-gry?" She was like 8 years old, and she talked like New York royalty! Too bad Paris Hilton can't improve her image by actually speaking like she was well brought up and actually had talent. What a hooch!

And what's the deal with her? I won't go into that rant, but that dog should've been dead a LONG time ago! It DOES just go to prove that you don't have to have talent to be famous. Just a rich dad and a great body (along with a personal trainer, a chef, personal hair dresser, makeup artist, personal assistant, and unlimited bank accounts). I bet i could do it. i just need to hit that Powerball! I guess i gotta BUY a powerball ticket first......

Okay, okay. So you are asking, "Tell us, Cassie. Tell us what your tarot cards said!"

Sorry. i just don't think we know each other well enough to divulge that information.

i heart-circle-slash dentists

OOOOUUUCH!!!

My mouth is KILLING me!!!!

My upper wisdom teeth are coming in, and they're pushing all my teeth together! i'm constantly biting my cheek, and creating a cancor sore! i can't eat ANYTHING!!!!

Actually, that's probably a good thing since i need to drop um....... 5 lbs to look like Cindy Crawford...

But i just tried to eat a BEAN BURRITO (cause i thought making something with chicken and stuff in it would be too tender) but NO!!! It still hurts! i still bite my cheek and still need friggin' ambesol! I guess i'm back to mashed potatoes and pudding. i feel like an old person!! i want to puree everything!!!

So i haven't been to the dentist in 7 years, since i went in college. Get this: the dentist was DRUNK!!!

NO SHIT!!!

i smelled alcohol on his breath, and i SWEAR he was grabbing the dental assistant's butt everytime she walked by!! Plus he wasn't even paying attention to me! he would poke at my mouth to count my teeth, while winking at his assistant! he then even poked my sore tooth so hard, i started bleeding!!!!
"Whoopsies!!!"
Fuck that guy.

So the time before that, the dentist was pretty nice, but had a lousy sense of humor. He kept making jokes like:
"Oh my. That looks really bad. i think we might have a root canal."
and Cassie (who has never even had a CAVITY) would say, "What??? Really??" with all his dental equipment not to mention fingers in my mouth.
He would look at me very seriously and say, "Naw!!! Just kidding!"

Funny, right? Well imaging that happening 4 (i'm not exaggerating here) more times!! All with the instruments in my mouth, all me trying to talk and almost jumping out of the chair. Finally i told him he wasn't very funny, and he had better watch his freebies cabinet.....

So i don't like dentists. They are really weird. i WOULD however go to that Starbase Dental that was featured in Trekkies.
http://trekdoc.com/synopsis.htm

Yeah. i could do that.

Jeff Goldblum

Okay.

So what's the deal with Jeff Goldblum? He's so weird! Did you ever see the Satuday Night Live sketch of him (played by my boyfriend, David Duchovony) on celebrity Jeopardy? It was great!

But seriously, i don't understand how he gets acting roles. i'm not saying i don't like him. I heart The Fly, and i though he did some nice work in Earth Girls Are Easy, but where did this guy come from? I will say the way his way of speach is somewhat endearing (like on all those Mac commercials) but that's how he talks in EVERY movie! Do you think people don't notice?

I'm confused.

I am so confused that i found this funny website and was pleasantly suprised.
http://www.jeffgoldblumiswatchingyoupoop.com/
This site hasn't been updated in a while, and i think it would be well worth it if it was. i plan on creating many pieces of artwork and submitting them.

p.s.
if anyone has an answer to my above questions, please enlighten me.

deviled cassie

Easter.

Chocolate candy.
Peeps.
Cadbury Eggs.
Bunny rabbits.
Baby Chicks.
Bunny rabbits who think they are baby chicks.

And most important:
Deviled Eggs.

Could there be a more perfect potluck snack? (other than greenbean caserole, which is a side item, or consequently a main course - if it so inclines you...)

I think not. Every year, as you gather around the family potluck, looking at all the wonderful foods everyone has brought. Ahhh.....
Spiral Ham!
mmmmmmm!!!
7 Layer Salad!
mmmmm!!
Potato salad.
Blech.
Pasta Salad.
Blech.
Jello Upsidedown thing with nuts in it.
Blech.
Dinner Rolls!
mmmmmm!!!!!
Potato Chips!
mmmmmm!!!!
Bean dip.
Blech.
Cole Slaw.
Blech.
Greenbean Caserole (with french cut green beans).
Okay. i love greenbean caserole, but french cut green beans? Give me a break!!! WHO likes those? i mean, you can barely pick them up on your fork, cause they've been sliced so thin! Plus who likes the French anyway?
initial blech - then mmmmmmm!!!!
coconut bunny cake.
Blech.
and finally,
Deviled Eggs!

can you think of anything more glorious to top your plate off with than a deviled egg?
The only thing i have a problem with, is that the person making the deviled eggs, only make enough to fit in that special deviled egg tray. Why? Everyone loves them. they want more than one. Do you have exactly 12 people in your family? And if so, why not make an entire dozen of deviled eggs, instead of just 6! You can always reload the tray! Cause you KNOW there is ALWAYS Uncle Terry who will take more than he is alotted. He will take 3 instead of 1 or even a daring 2. That doesn't even count the egg he eats while he's in LINE at the table! Like it doesn't count if you're in line, and it hasn't touched your plate!

Oooooooo!!! You can almost imagine the vein popping out of my head when i think of him stuffing that 4th egg in his mouth, while talking of course!!!

What worse, is when your cousin Sarah (who grandma actually BOUGHT the deviled egg plate for her for Christmas) will actually NOT make deviled eggs that year because she "didn't feel like it"!!!
Listen floosy! You got the tray! It's your FAMILY DUTY to make those suckers! And if you decide NOT to make them, you better send out an emergeny correspondence to let us know, so someone else can take over before it's too late, and you show up at Easter WITHOUT deviled eggs!!!!!

What is with these people?
No Deviled Eggs?
And Greenbean Caserole with French Cut Green Beans??

What family did i grow up with? Is the whole world going MAD??

Hemingway, i didn't do anything for Easter. i made myself pancakes and ate chinese food for dinner.
I guess i will just have to bite the bullet make deviled eggs - FOR MYSELF.

And this time, i'm making a whole dozen!!!

Ms. Drinks-A lot and Ms. Drunk Dials-A lot

This weekend was my friend Rhiannon's birthday. Saturday was the big night of debauchery. unfortunatley, i was unable to attend the whole evening - so i wasn't around to see it. What i WAS around to see was the pre debauchery on Friday.

I was at the local watering hole (which by the way half my paycheck is directly deposited to this place) for 1 beer.

1 beer folks.

have you ever heard of Cassie drinking 1 lone beer? I just couldn't do that to the beer! It would get so lonely....

Hemingway, I am there with Paul, when we run into this guy we got wasted with a couple weekends ago. We couldn't remember his name, and he didn't know ours... so we'll just refer to him as M2 - as in mechanic #2 (there is already a guy whom we refer to only as the mechanic, so M2 seems appropriate). So we ended up getting LOADED with this dude and his quiet lady. Rhiannon pops in for the weekend, in which case i think - I THINK - we did shots (who knows).

Blah blah blah, we all know drunk stories. Needless to say we closed down the bar. Now, Paul being the respectable person in the group went home to pass out on his couch. Rhi and I decided to take his bottle of the Captain, and see if we could wake up with red mustaches drawn on our faces. it seemed to work.

The best part about this whole evening, was that the next night at Rhi's birthday dinner at Little India, Paul told us he recieved our phone message.

Huh? What phone message?

I guess while watching Kill Bill we decided to call Paul and sing him songs from the end credits.

Twice.

Happy Birthday! We're twenty fucking seven years old!

At least we've given up throwing things off the balcony to see their breaking patterns. That was SO immature and SO last summer.

i think you are also asking yourselves, "Cassie ate at a restaurant called Little India?"

You would be correct to assume how strange that I, yes I, would eat at a spicey ethnic restaurant. But i actually like MILD indian food. Unfortunatley, that Saturday i think the chef was a little TOO generous with the MILD. It tasted like Hell's Spawn. i burned my fucking mouth off.

Gross.

DCD = me me me!

Who's going to Dead Can Dance? ME ME ME!!!

Yippeeeeeee!!!

i'm so excited! I am going to Seattle to see one of the most wonderful bands EVA! i don't even mind that there will be undesireables going as well! i'm as happy as a lark! I will be there with my bestest friend in the whole wide world seeing a band i have adored for the last 13 years!

So. The next question is:
Undesireables? Can Cassie actually have undesireables in her life?

The answer to this: - (and this is my blog so i can write whatever i want - especially since no one reads this anyway)
We will call the Undesireables Schmelfie and Quelfie. Yes. i do not like Schmelfie and Quelfie.

Yet they seem to pop up all over the place. But la, what can you do? Only hope i can hold my tounge - for the world is full of undesireables, and you just have to get used to it. Let's just hope i can do it during the DCD weekend. Actually Quelfie is okay, but when the twins are together, i suddenly get nauseated. i won't go into why Schmelfie is so bad. I think it's because i see that Schmelfie has no compassion for anyone BUT Schmelfie. Evil Evil Schmelfie. How can a person walk the earth with so little reguard for others? And how can such an enlightened soul like Quelfie not see this in Schmelfie? Can you not disown a person? i think you can!

But alas - we all have undesireable qualities.

except me.

Just Kidding.

Not really!

HAHA!!..............yes i am.

Let's see, undesireable qualities i attain:

I'm ridiculously funny.
I am uber smart
............when it comes to beer
i have big boobs (trust me, they are a pain in the ass)
I SOMETIMES have problems admitting wrong*
I am a big procrastinator http://www.despair.com/proc24x30pri.html
I love Weird Al Yankovic
I believe that all of life's problems have been addressed and sovled in an episode of the Simpsons
I am jealous of my friend Annie Goulahie
I desire to someday rule the world, and rub it in the faces of all who ridiculed me**
I do not use nor do i believe in any products sold in "Organic" supermarkets
I like Long John Silvers

* - i will always admit i'm wrong, but you have to shove the proof in my face for me to actually do it
** - this is a very common flaw in many humans, but i actually mean it vehemently

So you see! I, YES I, have undesireable qualities as well!
Well, that about sums it up!
I'm really excited to go to Dead Can Dance!

i heart bruce campbell

well, i haven't written about my love for Bruce Campbell as of yet, so i thought i would do so. I want to marry this man.

i watched Evil Dead this weekend, and well,
WHAT A PYT!!!!

Of course, he isn't that "pretty young thing" anymore, but a handsome debonair lovefest. Maybe he should be a HDL.

Everyone should love Bruce.
And his writing! My goodness, he just JUMPS off the computer screen with his humorous rhetoric!
http://www.bruce-campbell.com/

I really need to figure out how to post pictures. Maybe i will re-read the directions again, with a computer-literate buddy online with me.

i bet my blog would be much cooler with photos. i mean, i could post a picture of my sweetheart, Bruce Campbell, and a picture of me next to him in a wedding dress. Isn't that i great image? Can you imagine it? No?

Well FUCK!! I guess i will have to figure out how to post pictures.
All you other people with picture-posting ability can either

a. kiss my big white mushy butt
b. email me and tell me how to do it
c. do nothing, and never visit my blog again

C is probably the most likely option, seeing as how no one reads this blog anyway. i am talking to myself, which is fine. i can only sit and get mad at myself for not taking the time to learn how to post photos.

But i really do want to marry Bruce Campbell.

this is pretty crappy

I am worth $2,000,366.00 on HumanForSale.com

What a crappy survey. Why did i do it?

There's nothing like an online survey that tells you how much you're "worth" or how crappy you really are. Sad part about it, is that my friends that sent this survey to me, we bragging on how much $ they got!

WOW!!!!

I guess sometimes we all need an anonymous website giving us encouragement and making us feel special. Especially questions like: "Do you do volunteer work?" What if you don't? Then you're a crappy person. So OF COURSE you put yes! What else can you do? Sure i volunteer! i volunteer after i work 50 hours a day, and have a part time job on the weekends! But where's THAT question!!!???

okay. i'm better. Take the survey. See How Much Are YOU worth?

dance _____ dance the night away

so i took this quiz online. it was really hard! of course i emailed it to everyone, but little did they know, it took me 3 days to finish it!

so it's all about knowing all these 80's lyrics. It takes a long time just to get through it, and it also makes your eyes bleed. Well, more your brain. Trust me. Now, for some of you out there, it won't be difficult at all.

But is was hard for me so back off!

my new phone

Okay, so my new work phone sucks ass. The phone is so huge, it looks like one of those cell phones from the 80's. i think there are little elves living inside it that peddle the gears every time i want to make a phone call. Hooray for Nextel.
i tried to hyperlink a picture of my phone, but for some reason it won't let me. You'll just have to agree that the Nextel i58sr is an ugly ass yellow phone. that's right, they ordered it in yellow! WHY??????
Who even likes yellow? Oh! It's the people that buy yellow cars. Why? Because they are insecure, and need attention. Red is out people! Yellow is the new "it" color! I hate yellow cars! Especially those weird Subaru's that are the new version of the El Camino. The half car half truck. When were those EVER a good idea? Even the Ford Falcon hybrid thing is gross. The only thing it's got going for it, is that it's from the 60's and was never made again. But then someone has to go and try to build the hybrid car in the 70's. IT SUCKED!!! It seemed we skipped 1 decade (don't forget the Brat in the 80's) before some young punk decided that since no 90's model was made, 2000 seemed a good time to "invent" the hip hybrid for those trendy yuppie outdoorsy types. So then they make the ugliest car ever, and paint it yellow.
Gross.
http://www.subaru.com./servlet/research?model=BAJA&trim=SPORT&command=overview
Is that a breeder baby carriage they are putting in the back, or is it some trendy xtreme sport equiptment that fits their "BAJA" lifestyle? I can't tell.
Yeah. I really don't like my yellow phone.

second time around

Everyone knows that re-heated food never tastes as good as when it's fresh (except green bean caserole, which just keeps getting better). But fast food is the worst. i actually believe that the more you heat it up, the faster the impurities grow. An example of this, is this kid bought some McD's. He was working retail so he had to help some customers before he could finish his lunch. He ended up heating it up 3 times before he got to eat it. The enevitable happend, and he got sick! I blame it on the re-heating process. Those micro-waves will get ya! They will infect your mind!!! Then it moves on through your body, infusing with your heatly tissue....

Whew! Kinda got psycho there for a minute. Actually, the whole reason i brought up the microwaving fast food issue, was because i went to Long John Silver's yesterday. I tried to play it all cool with my co-worker, by saying that i really wasn't a big fan of the fish eatery. i actually hadn't eaten there since i was a kid. But lo and behold- i ordered a fish and chicken combo, and it was like eating heaven! Pure, delectible, greasy beyond belief, heaven. I couldn't eat my entire meal, so i saved it for today.
i kept thinking about the golden crispy batter, the moist chicken awaiting me inside it's grease dipped coat. So i had to eat it for breakfast.

And it was good.

Except for the hush puppies. They sucked ass.
So, the point of this whole thing: Don't re-heat hush puppies. There is no point in saving them. Do yourself and the hush puppies a favor, and eat them fresh. i know you want to save a little somethin' somethin' for later - but trust me on this one.

bored beyond belief

Why is it that every Friday around 3:00, time stands still?

Does it have anything to do with the upcoming weekend? Maybe. Does it have anything to do with being bored at work? Maybe. Could it possibly be that you are so sick of being around work people, you just want to go home an be with your real family (the staff of Planet Express)? Maybe. Or maybe it's just that Friday afternoons, are like Monday mornings. Sure there is stuff for you to do at work. Most times, you really need to finish it by the end of the day. As on Monday's, when you come into work and have to restart your routine. It takes a while to get productive, but when you finally do it, it takes you on a 4.5 day ride, that seems to end at Friday at 3:00pm.

To answer my earlier questions, i don't know why this Friday is creeping by. I have no interresting plans for the weekend, I've got plenty of challenging work to do - so i'm not bored, and finally, i don't really work around people, so i can't say i would like to hang out with my other friends.
It's a pickle. That's for sure.
Whew. i gotta think of something better to write about......
