I voted last night. It took 2.5 hours in line. I woke up this morning, and half the shit I voted for (or against) didn't pass. Voting blows. The last time I voted, Bush was re-elected and Colorado became a non-smoking state. This round Colorado has banned gay marriage, and rejected gay benefits.
Well, at least I can legally enjoy this joint I've just rolled. Whew. I was really stressing THAT one......

I'd have to say I am not surpised 'i ' didn't pass and Am.43 did. Because if that did happen, I would have freakin exploded with excitement. But instead I look at the fact that 'i' came closer than it ever has before (remember Am.2?!) and we have a Democratic House, possibly a Senate, a Democratic governor and Rumsfield just said bye bye. This state may not be Blue all the way, but today it is purple (or make it lavender). I am just proud of even the states that still elected or relected republicans...how close the races were. Look at the bigger picture. And don't bogart the joint!
It can be depresseing, but I've always said you can't bitch about the state of things if you don't get out and vote for something.
And now can fire one up. Things aren't that bad.
` Can you blow some smoke this way? I've been feeling queasy for the past three weeks....
None of the thigns I voted for passed. In KC we raised minimum wage (hurts the poor), banned human cloning (disguised as promoting stem cell research), raised tax on tobacco (already at astronomical levels), and passed a light rail system (huge waste of taxpayer money).
Oh, and Talent lost. I really can't believe all those people voted for McCaskill. She's a total sleezeball.
I thought the tobacco tax didn't pass by quite a majority? It was for all of Missouri, right?
You're right Jason. The tobacco tax was voted down. Small victories...
